Welcome to Ms. Cross' Blog

Welcome to Ms. Cross' Blog! This is where you will find out what is going on in our class throughout the year. Please feel free to post a blog and visit frequently throughout the year for update information.

BEWARE!!!!

BEWARE!!!

We are missing several items from our room. Two recorders and one pair of glasses have disappeared from 3 students. Please look around the room to see if your child might have taken these items by mistake. Ms. Murphy has made plea to our classroom family to have the items returned. I have also plead with them. At this point I just want the items back and if found you can decide what to do with your child and the situation.

Thank you:)

Reading Goals for October

Please make sure you are READING EVERY NIGHT with your child. We only have a few more weeks before the end of October and reading goals should be met. Each child should be reading at least 30 minutes a night and then an hour on the weekend. We only had a few students who didn't make their September goals and I hope that all 16 students will meet their October Reading goals. That would be a fantastic birthday gift if every student met their goals before my birthday on the 23rd, but I would settle for the end of October!!!

Testing is OVER!!!

I am very proud of how hard every student worked for the last week and a half on the CoGat and ITBS. Each student worked incredibly hard so that I would know just how smart they are and what skills they need to work on this school year.

Elapsed Time

Do you think your child understands elapsed time?

Are you working at home on time skills?

We have spent at least 3 weeks on reviewing telling time skills as well as learning about elapsed time. We will be having an assessment this week and move forward in our curriculum, but we will continue to review time and elapsed time throughout the year. If you need any additional resources to help your child grow please feel free to let Ms. Cross know via email or phone or agenda.
